TEAM PEI – Provincial Flag

Football PEI will be sending 8 ‘Elite All-Star’ teams to participate in Football Canada’s 2026 Flag Football National Championships (FFNC) held May 15 – 17 at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON.

U19 Female & U19 Male
U18 Female & U18 Male
U16 Female & U16 Male
U14 Female & U14 Male

Athletes must be born between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2014 to be eligible for the 2026 event.

The Canadian Football League (CFL) is the Official Development Partner of Team PEI – Flag Development.

Athletes and parents are asked to Like/Follow our social media account(s) listed below for the most up to date public information. Athletes that are selected to the final roster will be invited to join their coaches and other teammates on a mobile app for important team information and direct communication.

U14 & U16

Development & Identification Camps

The Canadian Football League (CFL) is the Official Development Partner of Team PEI – Flag.

The U14 & U16 Flag Development & ID Camps are open to males and females born between 2011-2014.
All athletes are welcome to register regardless of their interest in the provincial teams – those looking to only develop their flag football skills are welcome.
It is not mandatory to attend all sessions to be eligible for provincial team selection – see Football PEI’s Player Selection Process.
Registration for the Dev./ID Camp will remain open until the end of the Camps.
The Fee is for all sessions and can not be pro-rated for any missed sessions or late registration.

Fee: $125

  • 8 Turf Field Development/ID Camp Sessions (12 Hours)
  • A Football PEI – ID# T-Shirt

Final Rosters & Practices

For those attending the ID Camps, Final Rosters will be made following the 8 ID Camp sessions.
Final Rosters will be posted online between Mar 4-9 (TBD).
Athletes named to the final roster must make a $250 non-refundable down-payment to hold their roster spot.
A second $250 non-refundable payment will be due one month after the initial down-payment.
Any roster spots forfeited may be re-filled by the coaching staff and the player selection committee.
Final amount owed will not be collected until all fundraising is complete just prior to the tournament.
For those wishing, a payment plan may be discussed.

– Inter-Provincial Exhibition Games: All athletes will take part in Exhibition Games with New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Football PEI is working with the other provinces to create a full-day of exhibition games. Travel to the tournament and entry fee is included in the Final Roster Fee. Details of the event are still being worked out and will be shared once finalized.

– High-Performance Program: All U18 & U19 athletes will receive components of the pilot project HPP during both the Development & ID Camp phase and the Final Roster & Practice phase. We will be working with Sport Health and Science professionals who support developing elite athletes. Sessions may include: Athlete Testing, Speed Training, Mental Training, Nutrition Information.

Fee: $170

  • 8 Turf Field Sessions – Development/ID Camp (12 Hours)
  • 2 Athlete Testing Sessions – On-Turf and at Sport PEI Canada Games Legacy Performance HUB
  • 2 Speed Training Sessions – On-Turf
  • Mental Training Session – Classroom
