What Is Flag Football?

Flag football is a modified version of tackle football and provides participants with the opportunity to develop many of the same skills, tactics and strategies without the body contact (blocking and tackling). In flag football, defensive players pull the flag off the offensive player’s belt to “stop” them as opposed to tackling the player.

Who Plays Flag Football?

Men, women and children of all ages play flag football. People can play recreationally or in organized leagues. Flag football is played across Canada and around the world. U10 Standings: *The top eight (8) teams make playoffs in U10*

**1.4 When a team refuses to start or continue a game at the request of the officials, it will be penalized for delaying the game. On the third refusal, the team will forfeit the game by a score of 6-0; if the non-forfeiting team is in the lead at this point, the score will stand. **

Football PEI does not currently have any Modified Rules for 5v5 Community Flag Football.
